10L80, 10L90 Automatic Transmission

The 10L80 and 10L90 are advanced 10-speed longitudinal automatic transmissions engineered to deliver near-CVT efficiency while enhancing fuel economy in high-performance GM vehicles, including the Camaro, Suburban, Tahoe, and Escalade. Developed collaboratively by GM and Ford, these transmissions share similarities with Ford's 10R80 but differ in software and clutch specifications. The 10L90 features a triple-clutch assembly, enabling it to accommodate two additional gears while maintaining a size and weight comparable to its 8L90 predecessor.
