FAQ

Does this kit include the vacuum pump itself?

No, this is a Test Stand Kit. It includes the gauge, manifold, test plates, and fittings. You will need a standard workshop vacuum pump (minimum 2.5 cfm to 5 cfm) to connect to the stand for operation.

Can I use this kit for all transmission models?

Yes. This is a universal diagnostic tool. While the test plates are designed to cover various ports, the kit is compatible with any valve body (GM, Ford, Chrysler, ZF, Toyota, etc.) as long as you have the specific vacuum test location map for that unit.

Why is vacuum testing better than just a visual inspection of the valve body?

Visual inspection cannot detect microscopic wear or "out-of-round" bores that cause pressure drops. Vacuum testing provides a quantifiable, repeatable numerical value (inches of mercury) that tells you exactly if a bore is sealed or leaking. This eliminates guesswork and prevents costly "comebacks" after a rebuild.
