Sonnax Lube On Demand Valve Kit – Fits GM Gen 3 6T40 Series
In 2014, GM introduced the Generation 3 6T40-series transmissions, which feature a redesigned off-axis, binary vane pump. This new pump design helps reduce torque demand and supports better fuel economy. One major addition is a lube-on-demand regulating valve that boosts cooler/lube flow when converter feed pressure exceeds 87 psi. Note: It is normal for the inner diameter orifice of the Sonnax sleeve to appear blocked by the casting track. The sleeve is undersized to allow fluid to flow through the casting.
