In AODE transmissions, a frequent issue is the failure of the intermediate roller clutch, overdrive band, or forward clutch. This is often linked to the O.D. servo pin wearing down the case bore. The oil circuit, which controls the servo in 1, 2, 3 ranges, can leak through the case if this wear occurs. Such leakage can lead to dragging of the O.D. band and/or overheating of the forward clutches. Extensive band overheating may result in a failure to hold in 4th gear, potentially causing a neutral condition and excessive roller RPM during a 4-2 downshift re-engagement. The Sonnax 76833E servo pin is designed as a superior replacement for the OE servo pin.

• The pin is equipped with two O-rings, ensuring a secure seal against both the piston I.D. and the case bore, thereby preventing oil circuit leaks.
• The pin comes with an optional washer that can be used to pre-load the spring, resulting in a firmer 3-4 shift.
• A replacement retaining clip is included, as the original is often misplaced.
