TransGo SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair: A4CF1 & A4CF2 (2006-Up)
This TransGo SHIFT KIT® is engineered for 2006 and newer Hyundai and Kia vehicles featuring A4CF1 and A4CF2 transmissions. It effectively resolves common drivability issues such as 2-3 shift flare, direct clutch failure, erratic shift patterns, and delayed engagements. It also targets TCC shudder or slip, neutrals during shifts, and various solenoid or gear ratio diagnostic codes.
The A4CF series utilizes a reducing valve to regulate pressure for all solenoids, the damper clutch (lock-up) control valve, and pressure control valves A, B, and C. Functioning like an AFL or solenoid regulator valve, it ensures solenoid feed pressure remains at a calibrated PSI regardless of main line pressure. When this valve bore wears out, the solenoids cannot effectively regulate pressure, leading to shift quality complaints and erratic line pressure.
Furthermore, wear in the converter pressure regulator valve bore often prevents the computer from accurately controlling the lock-up clutch apply rate. This loss of control typically results in TCC-related codes, slipping, and shuddering during both the apply and release phases.
